Mntungwa has over 30 years’ experience
in Travel and Tourism, Security Services, and Audit and Consulting.
He joined the Astute Financial Services Exchange in July 2023 as the Chairman
of its Board of Directors. He is a member of its Audit and Risk, and Human Resources and Risk Committees. Over and above this Board he has served and still serves on Boards of various JSE-listed and unlisted companies since 1998.
Aside from Astute, he continues to serve on the Boards of Storage-REIT and Crossgate Technologies. In the case of the Listed company Boards,he has served in their various Board Committees, including Audit and Risk, and Remuneration.
He is a qualified Chartered Accountant having served his Articles with KPMG Lesotho. His academic credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree (B.BA) from the University of Charleston, West Virginia, (USA), and Masters’ Degrees (MA) from both Georgetown University, Washington DC, (USA) and the University of Cape Town’s Graduate school of Business (MBA). He previously served on the Council of the Institute of Directors and remains a member of the same organisation.
