Sam is the Chief Technology Officer: Santam Group.
Post-Graduate Diploma in Information Systems, MSc in Information Systems, CIO Academy Certificate, Advanced Management Programme.
Sam is responsible for the Information Technology capabilities of Santam Group, including driving the digital transformation, cloud transition, and implementation of data solutions. Previously Sam held the position of Chief Information Officer (CIO) at SASRIA and various other executive and senior roles at, amongst others, Auditor General of South Africa, Absa/Barclays, Wincor Nixdorf UK, and Standard Bank. He is an experienced technology executive with more than 30 years of experience in the building and turning around of Information Technology capabilities in various sectors, including financial services and insurance. Sam sat on the Hollard Group Board for the past 7 years which resigned on 31 July 2023.
